Here Rests In Honored Glory An American Soldier Known But To God. Not much else need really be said. I liked the composition for it's stoic emptyness and with just a sliver of the Washington, DC, skyline in the distance for context.

It took me a bit of looking but I finally found an angle that expressed the contrast of the glass and verticality of Freedom Tower, at One World Trade Center, with the textured ribs of the Oculus Center.

Generations

Taken from the Lincoln Memorial looking toward the Washington Monument on a foggy December day. I spotted this father and son enjoying a moment. I often wonder what dad appeared to be similing about (you can see a hint of a twinkle in his eye) and the son just feels to have a reflective tone about him.

Ramos Imperium (branchs of government)

It was a cold and foggy morning as I wondered the National Mall in Washington, DC. The stark contrast of this scene of the Washington Monument immediately caught my eye. Had it been Spring I would have likely walked right by as the leaves would have blocked this unique view. The low lying fog provided an eerie and unique backdrop that lends to the contrast and composition of the scene. The trees, their branches reaching up and across the composition, reminded me of the branches of government and mark the passage time since 1848.

Eiffel Tower Sky

Residential street adjacent the Eiffel Tower. I love strolling the streets looking for interesting scenes and this one around the Eiffel Tower didn't disappoint. The piercing blue sky provided a wonderful contrast to the lattice steel structure. The angled lines of the building and café chairs and residential vibe just lent another layer of interest as it pointed directly at the tower. I never noticed the guy sitting in the second car until I was in post production - I wonder what he was thinking as I fiddled around to frame the shot :D LOL
